Emergency Moon & A Wrong Turn
Story one
Parked behind another bus at our high school ready for PM routes.
The students were boarding the bus when several boys went to the back of bus in front of me and all at once one of the older boys stood in front of the emergency door turned and dropped his pants mooning me. I called the other bus on the radio telling him that he needed to check out what was going on in in the back of the bus. They called me back asking me to describe the boy. I didn’t think he wanted me to describe the face I was looking at over the radio.
Story two.
I was taking my middle school kids to school one morning when I came to a Y in the road and instead of going right to school, I turned left to my house.
The kids were so quiet that morning, I forgot they were even on the bus.
I pulled up to where I usualy parked my bus every day after the routes then looked in my rearview mirror.
There were fifty-five pairs of eyes looking at me. I then heard one voice call out “Where are we going?”. The only answer that I could think of was,”I guess I am taking you home for breakfast.” Laughing at myself I then took them to school.
For weeks after that, whenever I approached the Y in the road I would hear “What’s for breakfast?”
